TIRF’s Youth Advisory Council (YAC) is a group of young people who are passionate to help youth in Toronto achieve their fullest potential, through physical activity and community engagement. The YAC gives high schools students an opportunity to utilize their voice and perspective to develop new ideas that will help elevate rugby initiatives in Toronto. Focusing on creating a barrier-free rugby environment, YAC members support TIRF employees and volunteers to implement rugby events that promote inclusivity and empower youth across the city. Through the establishment of YAC, TIRF strives to provide youth with the skills to succeed in both sport and daily life, while making a difference in their community. The Youth Advisory Council provides youth with the opportunity to develop compassionate leadership skills, while connecting with like-minded individuals.
